A brand new space code shall be launched on March 19, 2011 as a reduction plan for current space code 705 of Ontario, Canada. The brand new space code 249 will overlay 705 overlaying the identical space. Bigger cities that shall be served by the brand new overlay advanced: Barrie, North Bay, Peterborough, Sudbury.
Necessary 10 digit dialing shall be launched on March 19, 2011 for all phone numbers in each space codes 705 and 249. Beginning January 15, 2011 an announcement shall be heard by these dialing 7 digit native numbers inside space code 705, informing them of the quickly to be launched 10 digit obligatory dialing.
